Storage of waste on premises cannot exceed 90 days. Waste stored outside must be in a secured area or locked in a container that weighs MORE than 500 lbs. Do not compact the waste. Generators must prevent access to the secured area by vermin or unauthorized individuals.
Employees who handle medical waste must be trained before assuming duties. Refresher training must be provided when a change directly affects an employee’s duties.
Generators must create and keep employee training records for a minimum of 3 years, containing:

Dates of training
Generator registration is required. Registration fees are shown below:
Private practice office with fewer than 4 licensees: $50.00;
$20.00 for each additional licensee;
$80.00 for four or more licensees;
Certificate of registration is valid for 3 years;
