This November 11, the United States celebrates Veterans Day, honoring our country’s military veterans and their service to the U.S. Armed Forces. At Stericycle we honor veterans’ drive and desire to serve, and appreciate the sacrifices they and their families have made to create a safer world.
Our Veterans Employee Resources Group (ERG) is dedicated to recognizing, appreciating, and supporting Stericycle’s veterans, military members, their families, and the communities in which they live and work. This year, our veterans ERG is hosting an event to share how Stericycle gives back to the veteran community through our partnership with American Corporate Partners (ACP).
ACP is dedicated to helping the military community transition to the civilian workforce. Stericycle actively participates in ACP’s mentorship program, where our team members assist veterans with planning their career path after service.
ACP’s Mentoring Program connects post-9/11 veterans, active-duty spouses, and eligible military spouses (protégés) with corporate professionals (mentors) for customized mentorships. ACP assists veterans and eligible spouses on their path towards fulfilling, long-term careers, whether the veteran is job searching or newly employed.
The mentors assist veterans with their professional and personal goals. This includes résumé review and interview preparation, helping with career development, networking, work-life balance, and leadership guidance.
