Stericycle Gives Back During the Holiday Season
Stericycle is committed to the communities we serve, showing this dedication throughout the year. December presents an opportunity for giving back, and many of our employees reach out to the less fortunate to make their holidays a little brighter.
For instance, our Orange County, CA office has participated in Operation Santa Claus for the last eight years. Through this program, employees help disadvantaged parents obtain gifts for their children. Staff work with other volunteers at a gift market where individuals “shop” for different items. Not only do the staff collect gift donations for the market, they also volunteer during the “shopping day” to get to know parents and help them figure out what gifts they can buy.
Our Indianapolis office participates in the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree Program, which provides children in need with necessities and presents for the holidays. Employees “adopt” an angel, buying the child clothes, blankets and toys. Last December, the staff provided gifts to 158 children.
The New York office has gotten involved in the Bears for Babies campaign, which delivers “SteriBears” to sick children who are in the hospital for the holidays. For the past three years, employees have dressed, wrapped and hand delivered the SteriBears. Last year alone, the group donated 300 bears to children in five local hospitals and child medical settings.
As the holiday season dawns, Stericycle employees are once again giving back, continuing to reach out and bring the spirit of generosity to the communities we serve.
Stericycle wishes you and your family a safe and happy holiday season!
