- Stericycle’s proprietary database of more than 450,000 National Drug Codes (NDCs) is continually updated and cross referenced with your facility’s formulary for waste characterization and efficient, compliant disposal
- Our characterization reports include EPA and DOT hazardous, DEA, and state level classifications
Containers and Service for Facility-Wide Collection
- Our team of experts will work with your hospital staff to determine the location, type, and number of containers needed in satellite accumulation areas (SAAs)
- To make the process easier, our pharmaceutical waste containers are color-coded for a user-friendly disposal process
- Once containers are full, they are moved to the central accumulation area (CAA) by your EVS staff or a Stericycle Service Specialist
- Stericycle coordinates waste packaging into DOT compliant transport containers for transportation to final disposal
