Building Safe and Sustainable Communities Together

Stericycle is dedicated to protecting the health and well-being of the people and places we serve in a safe, responsible, and sustainable way. By connecting people, knowledge, insights, and resources, we engage with our customers to help build healthier and safer communities.

Our talented team members openly share their diverse expertise to help our customers navigate the intricacies of a changing regulatory environment. Recently, Stericycle held a series of informational and interactive lunch-and-learn sessions with customers in Southern California and the Pacific Northwest. The events helped healthcare leaders build their professional networks and learn about sustainability and innovation from industry experts.

The events began with presentations from Stericycle leaders who spoke on current hot topics in the healthcare industry, including sustainability and regulated waste, community engagement, drug diversion prevention, managing controlled substances waste, and more. Attendees learned ways healthcare providers can help mitigate risks and improve sustainability-related outcomes.

Stericycle also shared future initiatives designed to best serve our customers, including upcoming optimizations to our fleet and facility network, Sharps Management Service (SMS) equipment and processing changes, and more. Customers also explored recent innovations to our container portfolio at the product showcase.

A highlight of the events was featured keynote speaker, Andy Acho, Former Worldwide Director of Environmental Outreach and Strategy at Ford Motor Company, who presented "Green with a Touch of Gold," which provided an overview of proactive environmental actions that health systems can implement to help save money and the planet. Attendees received practical tips they can implement in their facilities to help reduce waste sent to landfills.

At Stericycle, we deliver solutions and drive innovations that help protect the environment, people, and public health. We do business the right way, not just the easy way, which includes working to create a more sustainable, shared future. The healthcare industry plays an important role in environmental responsibility, and it is important for healthcare facilities to make policy changes that incorporate sustainable practices.

Stericycle will continue to bring opportunities to engage with our customers to help improve their outcomes, businesses, and communities. Learn more about our commitment to social responsibility
