All customers will have new customer account numbers based on your role and your company allowing better communication and identification.

Updated Service Notifications

Automated service notifications will share your next date of service so you can plan or make changes, if necessary.

New Labels

Updated labels are color coded to reflect the type of waste in the container. They contain your new customer numbers and a unique identifier.

Improved Invoice

Redesigned with a new layout and new fields, your new invoice will include a simplified layout and all Regulated Medical Waste services on one document.

New Customer Portal

An updated customer portal allows you to control your account including contact information, a view of invoices and online bill payment.

FAQs

As a U.S. Regulated Medical Waste (RMW) Management and Compliance Services customer, you will experience the following changes:

  • A new, updated customer portal, mystericycle.com where you can find, download, and pay your invoices and billing statements, download electronic versions of paper manifests and make requests to update your service schedule.
  • A re-designed invoice with improved service details and billing information.
  • A 28-day service schedule.
  • A new label for your regulated medical waste containers.
  • If you only receive secure document destruction services through our Shred-it® solution, you will not experience any changes.

As Stericycle continues to grow, we need to upgrade our tools to best serve our customers. This expansion will help provide you with an enhanced experience through improved scheduling, billing, and invoicing information.

  • As a Regulated Medical Waste (RMW) Management and Compliance Services customer with services in the U.S., you will receive a new customer number, which is required to access your account information.
  • You will receive access to your RMW account through a new customer portal. Visit mystericycle.com
  • You will also receive access to a new Auto Pay system with secure payment access and setup.
  • You must use your new RMW customer number to register for the new portal and for Auto Pay services.
  • You will receive a new waste label to apply to your medical waste containers.
  • You will need to confirm your current addresses and contact information to ensure you receive all communications related to these changes.

No, your costs will not be impacted. The changes only affect how we communicate with you about your service and increase the number of ways you can access information about your service.

  • We will email your new customer number to your address on file in early fall. If you do not receive an email, you can contact our customer relations team at 866-783-7422.
  • In the fall, you will find your new customer number on your invoice and in your portal. You may also call our Customer Experience line and request your new number.  Have your old customer number handy.

Customer account numbers align with a person's role in the system and help us ensure the privacy and accuracy of data.

Your invoice will be structurally different and have new features. These features include:

  • Your New Customer Number
  • A new remit, or return, address
  • Cobranding with both the Stericycle and Shred-it® brands

Depending on the types of services you have with Stericycle, you could receive multiple invoices. If you are a Shred-it® customer, you will continue to receive a Shred-it® invoice or invoices for those services. After the transition, you will receive a new Stericycle invoice for Regulated Medical Waste Management services. If you have other services outside of these two solutions, you will receive an invoice for those services. You will have specific customer account numbers for each of these services.

  • To provide more timely and accurate information regarding your service, the annual schedule will no longer be available. Instead, you will receive notifications about upcoming service.
  • A regular customer who gets service more than once every four weeks will receive a 28-day calendar every two weeks. You can also access upcoming services in the newly redesigned mystericycle.com.
  • For customers with frequency less than once every four weeks, you will receive a 28-day calendar every two weeks and a 2-day notification. You can also access the upcoming services in the newly redesigned mystericycle.com.

You will receive a new, different Regulated Medical Waste Management customer number and a newly redesigned customer portal for services in the U.S. You must register for the new portal with your new regulated medical waste management customer number. If you use Auto Pay for your Regulated Medical Waste Management or Compliance Services, you must re-register for autopayment on on the newly redesigned Mystericycle.com.

As a customer of those services, you will receive a new branded invoice that will be structurally different and a new refreshed customer portal.

We will supply you with a customer portal user guide to help you navigate the new mystericycle.com.

The new system is expected to be live on September 5th. Watch for more information as we get closer to the date.
