About Our Woodbridge Facility
Stericycle currently operates a medical waste collection and treatment facility in Woodbridge, New Jersey. We are holding this session to discuss renewing the facility’s operating permit, which is currently under review by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP).
The Woodbridge facility treats regulated medical waste (such as soiled bandages) collected from medical service providers and hospitals in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and New York. The waste is treated with an autoclaving process, which uses pressure, heat, and steam to render the waste non-infectious before disposal.
The facility is located within the Keasbey Redevelopment Area in a designated industrial zone.
Public Information Session
Stericycle hosted a public information session regarding our application for renewal of our solid waste facility operating permit for our Woodbridge facility. The session took place at 6:00 PM on September 20, 2022. You can watch a recording of the meeting here and read the transcript here.
How to Participate
Stericycle will accept comments regarding the proposed renewal via email to: woodbridgeinfo@stericycle.com through October 30, 2022.
Interested parties are encouraged to review the draft Solid Waste Facility Permit Renewal Application, which can be accessed below. Printed copies of the permit renewal application are available for viewing at the following location:
