Consistent compliance: A smart New Year’s resolution

What New Year’s resolution did you make this year? Some common ones are to save more money, get healthier or spend more time with family. But, what about resolutions to better your practice? In this recent Physicians Practice article , our own Richard Best, technical director/corporate director of OSHA compliance, discusses a few key resolutions that smaller medical practices can make to improve overarching compliance efforts. For instance, figuring out the scope of compliance (be it HIPAA, OSHA, medical waste disposal, etc) and where your practice is lagging behind is a great place to start. From there, training staff and gathering their feedback on key policies can enable you to prioritize and comply with the most important regulations for your practice.
